Welcome to the Kevin Presley experience.......

Experience (ik sper'e ens) n. -something personally lived through or encountered.

OBJECTIVE: To get the image in my heart transferred into a photograph for all of you to see.

Hello to all of you!!!!!!!

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to view my models.

THESE ARE ALL 1/87 SCALE TRUCKS! (HO SCALE) I chose to build in 1/87 mainly because, there are alot of accessories available in this scale. They are easy to work with, and don't take up as much room. As you view these pictures, You'll notice none of them are the same. That's because, I like the uniqueness every tractor-trailer on the road offers. They all come in different shapes, sizes, and colors. My personal goal is to, have one of every truck on the highway. Hopefully in time, you should see my version of what is on todays' and yesterdays' highway.

So sit back, relax and enjoy....

Any comments you have are welcomed!

Again, Thank you and take care........

Kevin....

What i try to capture?

All these pictures are taken outside. They all are taken with realistic backgrounds. No graphics involved! I try to capture a truck in it's natural surroundings. Places you will most likely see it. For an example: You wouldn't find a cattle truck at a construction site? Where would you most likely see it? On a farm somewhere near an open field where there are tractors or stacks of hay around. But, It can get a little tricky! You also have to make sure the color/type/year of the truck matches the surroundings as well. For an example: You wouldn't find a 1955 Peterbilt "Bubblenose" near an oil refinery. You would bring out the best of it, some where in an open field. You probably can get away with a shot it somewhere in the mountains! This concept is what i use to produce the pictures you see! Hope you enjoy them!

How did i get started?

As a child, I was exposed to a  Kenworth K100 cabover. I can remember riding with my stepfather, trying to get a glimpse over the dashboard to see what i could see. All i remember seeing at the time was, the top of other tractor trailers going in the opposite direction. Being so small, the only thing i could see out of, was the little small window on the passenger side door. Not only do i remember seeing cows graze in the open fields, I can also remember seeing us pass by cars as we went down the highway. As i got older, those memories never went away. I can remember my friends and I playing with our collection of trucks in the school sandbox. Building truck stops, towns etc.As time went on, I collected more and more trucks, Only to give them all away to a girls' younger brother i was trying to impress. After giving them away, I tried my luck with model trains. But, for some reason, trucks kept calling me. I had a burning fire inside of me that always involved trucks. Within the last 10 years, i decided to get back into trucks. This time meeting new friends that would share ideas with me, to help create the models you see. The concept of these models and pictures were in me at an early age. I can say i'm reliving my childhood through these pictures!! Hopefully they will give you a chance to see what i see!!!    Enjoy.......
